A busy business loss prevention professional was asked what one wish he would ask for if he were to find a genie in a bottle. The business professional replied “two more days in my week”. Do you ever feel that there is never enough time to get the things done that you need to? Do you have to juggle school, work, home, family, and recreation? Do you ever have the same wish as this busy LP professional?

It is a fact that the only thing that everyone has in common is the time in our day and the days in our week. How can anyone get more accomplished? The real question here is how can you definitively obtain more productivity in your day which in return will provide you more efficiency and a better quality of life.
This is key for success in busy corporate America, weather you are a store loss prevention detective or loss prevention director. Getting more out of our days is a “wish” everyone has. Working more hours has been proven to be less productive as the more hours one puts in at the workplace, the less productive and attentive the employee becomes.
So how do you get the magic you ask? Prioritizing is one key element of successful time allocation. We use time allocation since “time management” is long forgotten and how can you manage something you have absolutely no control over. You can better manage yourself to capitalize on your time.
