Loss Prevention Qualified
LPQUALIFIED courses prepare the novice loss prevention professional for a rewarding career with the tools necessary to become a productive performer and further provides the retailer with the confidence of a benchmark for expectations of a new LP associate.
This designation indicates that this individual has the basic knowledge and skill sets necessary to continue on to the second phase of the program and can demonstrate this to an employer or potential employer. Experienced LP professionals with proper credentials and background may skip the courses and take the exam to qualify.
Loss Prevention Certified
(L.P.C)
Individuals who are LPQUALIFIED and have proper credentials experience and references have access to additional courses to better prepare themselves for advancement within the industry and for the LPC certification exam to become LPCERTIFIED. Successful completion of the formal prep course and proctored exam will provide the student with the designation of LPC (example: John Smith LPC) in recognition of their achievement in training and serve as a statement to employers that a certain level of education has been achieved and that they are committed to their profession.
